Judas Johnson

Today's Judas Johnson formed in January 2007 as a down to the core three piece - though it is strictly a reformation with Ev, Chris and Mark coming together from the original line up formed in 1993. A split in '95 saw the members go their separate ways for more than a decade. Chris, Ev and guitarist Rick Buck toyed with a new line up and a new band, while Mark, Sue Stringfellow and Ellie Arthur went on to form Evidence with Micheal McLean. Time moves on and the second coming brings the best of the old Judas Johnson along with a new vibrancy and an altogether harder, darker sound.

The band have gigged extensively over the last few years and are regulars in venues locally and across the West Midlands, building their reputation for musicianship, professionalism and great songs. Radio airplay on BBC introducing programme 'The Friday Night Gerbil , on Radio Shropshire and on The Severn has helped to raise the bands profile and win them new admirers.

The band have been busy recording their debut album in their Minsterley studio, which they hope to have out at the end of this year. This follows several single and ep releases on their own 'Sticky' label, which the band wrote, recorded and produced themselves. Look out for the debut album Psycho.
